America

America, for spacious skies,

For hidden hate, and lethal lies.

For shores of great and bountiful love,

For poison arrows to kill the dove.

We see, we know, yet we are blind,

Of ignorance we do define.

Rising above the bloody ground,

Yet pain is all we've ever found

Our fathers lived, loved and died,

And left a nation who unhappily sighed.

"Well, all we're going to do is cry,

'The time has come to fantasize."

Beneath the horror of rejection,

Through the paths of self-destruction.

A nation lies, waiting to bloon,

Miss America, they'll see it soon
