Ambivalence

Why should I go with you, Miss Forever and Sir Always?

We are sturdy and gentle and loyal and true.

Then what shall I do if I grow bored later in my days?

Finding the right forever and always is all you must do.

Why should I go with you, the Unknown and the New?

We are magical, mystical, wonderful things.

Then why do you appear before so few?

Why do the gods make so very few kings?

Why should I go with you, the Occult and the Twisted?

You will not be sorry, I promise you this.

But why not wait? After all, it just misted.

In the dawn's light I'll be gone, and it's me that you'll miss.

Why should I go with you, dear Thought and dear Sorrow?

I'm best addressed now, why wait until another time?

But can't such depression be dealt with tomorrow?

I do hold sorrow and doubt but you will be fine.
