Am I ready?

Psalm 86:5

For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive,
And abundant in mercy to all those who call upon You.

Ready

Am I ready to live with self ... for the rest of my life?

Am I willing to go all the way ... for my neighbors and my wife?

Am I ready to face the pain ... that embraces love?

Am I ready to count all a blessing ... a true gift from above?

Am I ready to die to self ... so my inner-self may live?

Am I willing to bury that part ... so my all I can give?

Am I willing to give my all ... so the poor may sing?

Am I ready from now on ... love and hope to bring?

Am I ready for whatever may come ... and face it with a smile?

Am I ready to grieve and cry ... for others all the while?

Am I ready to look upon ... the poor and maimed among man

and help the needy always ... to seek the Face of God in them?

The “Face of God” you say at once ... is found only in the church

a great misconception my friend ... that is to your own hurt?

For the place that God resides ... is in a temple of His own

in the heart of His reborn ... where He is seated on the throne.

In the ones who are walking ... according to His Will.

Who obey His every call ... and pray by being still.

Who listening to His reasoning ... and are sensitive to His call

for to please Him every day ... is their longing after all.

How does this fit in my way of life ... how to apply this to my “work”?

How to motivate and guide ... these principles to a jerk?

Well I guess you don’t understand ... where you should begin?

Read the first three verses again ... and let Christ change the jerk within.
