Always Supporting

Fourth planet from the Sun, Ruler of the Western Hemisphere,

Heart of America, Rogersville, Secondary Educational Center.

Has a quaternary of hollow, chromed metallic legs to hold up a firm,

maroon polymer seat and a thick, wooden slab which is used for

performing intensive work upon.

Home to millions of bacteria which can cause harm, college-ruled

notebook paper with scrawling of a high-schooler’s nonsense, and

copious amounts of chewed gum on the bottom.

Lover of Lysol products, clean garments on patrons, and pens that

don’t explode.

That feels as if it can remain steadfast until eternity even though

an elephant seems to be sitting on it every other hour, as well as a

sense of accomplishment for always performing its job well.

That needs neither food nor water, but rather a good scraping every

so often.

That gives unending support to those who require it, a place to rest

and recuperate, and streptococcus.

That fears sharp knives digging into its wooden flesh, careless high-
schoolers with exploding pens, and finally meeting he who breaks his

perpetual support.

That would like to see something other than the backside of they

who it supports along with a lifetime supply of Lysol.

Imaginative Scribing Classroom, fifth column, third row.
