Always Love

Her lips quiver.

Her palms sweat.

Her eyes turn bright red.

All as she walks

She doesn’t saunter

Nor does she speed

She just walks

Trying to become content

Content with the fact that he’s truly gone.

She’s been told this for days

“Stay strong”

“You are loved”

“It’s hard, but it will get easier”

But at this point she does not need it to “get easier”

As she walks

Her lips quiver

Her palms sweat

Her eyes turn bright red

All as she tries to be “strong”

All as she walks.

Walks away from the life she once loved.

From the person who filled her days with light

She walks.

Walks away as they cover the person she once loved.

The person that she still loves.

The person that she will always love.
