All the things I never said

All the things I never said

                                                                        By Bella Gomez

Boarding the airplane,

Waving hard goodbyes.

I walked through the front gate,

Towards my other life.

The fear of the unknown,

Is too hard to shake.

When you’ve always loved someone,

Who pushes you away.

I always needed to love you.

But now, I finally know

Right now, the right kind of love

Is the love that lets go.

I’ve always had your back,

I’ve always kept my faith.

But that day you left me behind,

I’ve never been the same.

The light at the end of the tunnel,

Became a mere runaway train.

All the stars I had wished on,

Were only passing airplanes.

You broke me in pieces,

Only to make me take the blame.

For stealing my picture perfect life,

And shattering it in its frame.

I always wanted to love you.

But now, I finally know

Right now, the right kind of love

Is the love that lets go.
