All of it

Job 35:8

Your wickedness affects only a person like yourself,
and your righteousness only other people.

All of it

Poor and needy and all alone,

Jesus came to save.

Rich and puffy and self-contained,

Jesus put to shame.

Rebellious and rowdy, too far gone

Jesus took the blame.

Sophisticated and good, as He should,

Jesus kept His Name.

Deprived, vile and filthy,

Jesus will cleanse your nest.

If already good and acceptable,

how could Jesus bless?

Imprisoned, enslaved and worthless,

Jesus will give you rest.

If you riding high in power and strength,

you don’t need Jesus’ best.
