All I Need

Everyday I wake up with a start,

because my son has my whole heart.

He won't sleep in his own bed,

to wake me up he kisses me on the head.

It is time to wake up with no time to drag.

I look in the mirror and I look like an hag.

He doesn't care the appearance of my face,

I'm his mommy, he needs me, this is the case.

He is why I want to be better and I go to school

being the oldest in class isn't so cool.

All I need is this two-year-old boy,

so while he fills my heart with joy,

I fill his with pride

and I take all of the hard work for him in stride.
