Alas

Ezekiel 16:62-63

62 I will establish my covenant with you, and then you will know that I am the Lord.

63 Then you will remember, be ashamed, and remain silent when I make atonement

for all you have done, declares the sovereign Lord.’”

Alpha and Omega – the beginning and the end

I am hanging in the middle not wanting to move

An oft repeated saga as time is wasted and spent

For me, mine and self so making me the fool

Where did it start and stop so much energy available?

Why did I give up in the middle of the race?

I am not lost but on the track – no excuses under this table

Did I lose sight in my heart because of too much Grace?

It rains on the just and the unjust blessings all over me

I did not appreciate all the opportunities

Enjoying living in my lust and for all that I could see

I expanded in selfishness to embrace fatality

Tarrying and stopping at every thought of pleasure

Seldom making progress to all that I could be

Wasting all in shopping without a chosen measure

To be enslaved and bonded and never to be free

It started at conception with the Author of Life present

There are no accidents with Him at this moment

He decided long ago that in every essence

I was formed to be in harmony with The Atonement
