Air

Walking with no destination

One foot followed by the other

Mind overwhelmed to see any beauty

The moment is lost the sight unseen

Once this walk gave great pleasure

Today a distraction to tire this soul

Hopelessly, I pray that it makes me rest

A force from within pushes me on

Up a hill across a bridge into a county call Marin

Mindlessly I continue without provisions

Legs weary of the barrage feet scream we won't make it back

Toenail digs into its neighbor body revolts the mind agrees

The long journey back from the unknown, one foot follows the other

Upon the bridge of return resolution comes to mind

The events of the past thought forgiven seem to linger

Stay the course see where I stand, the air brings a new breath

I have happiness today joy enters me and I give it to another

Take what I have, take it all I will always have my air

Air is what every living creature on this plant all share, it is free and so am I.
