Against the Media

I wake up in the morning and look in the mirror,

To see who I am and wonder if I need to change.

The media shows us that we are  inferior,

That without being slim and muscular we are strange.

We should not think this way  how many others had done,

To go against how the "standards" are not the standards.

To see that we are not meant to be others but one,

Unique, special, that is who we are against slanders.

No one should tell us how we need to look in our lives,

That being happy with ourselves is our main focus.

We need to accept ourselves and take our lives and strive,

To perform our lives the best we can in our locus.

I see myself and know that I do not have the flaws,

Loving yourself is what everyone has to do,

It was hard but I have done it question is have you?
