Afterlife

When it was pouring cats and dogs

I took a stand and

Braced myself in the

Opening rain

I didn't realize the cleansing

The waters were doing to the

Broken land, the leaves

Stood out bodly with a

Courage that can only be embraced

So when the season to reap came

All I saw were the new beginning of an

Afterlife.
