Afire

When the sunlight touches his eyes they turn to fire the color of honey

Yet they are as cool as a river in midday

When he speaks his words are wise yet they still bring laughter past my lips

He could speak for hours and I wouldn't get bored

His smile should hang as prized art yet the spectators wouldn't know the value

Luckily that snatch of light isn't too far away anymore

His heart is gold his mind is vast his soul is deep

I am small yet my love surpasses my weaknesses

Could i really tell you the love i have for you?

Didn't you know that i try to contain it but fail?

The smallest things could make me smile but you would never know you caused it.
