Affair with a Dancer

You told me you didn’t want to,
that I could do it without you.

Your lack of interest and your surety,
rejected me into his hands of security.

As our hands clasp,
his shoulder I grasp.

And I can’t help but to feel
drawn in by his appeal.

I’m enamored by this strange tension
because he takes me to a new dimension.

Who knew a dance in daylight
could ever bring forth such dark delight?

A passionate kiss, the steps of our feet,
so harmonious, though our lips never meet.

Into a doubtful illegality
I’m spun from reality.

Your answer is no, there’s nothing I can do.
But during it all, I still wish it was you...
