Acceptance

The only way to describe this pain
When it gets to you
You start to go insane
The only way you think to get rid of this pain
Simply by letting your thoughts just go astray
Then they come back
Sometimes worse than before
You ask yourself
Was I like this before

You start to doubt yourself
Even when proof abides
But you just can't accept that thing
You call a lie
The truth

It's hard to accept
Sometimes you don't
You go on about your life
With no chance to gloat
Of how you were really meant to be
Because you keep saying "I'm just me"
But you say that with your smile hidden from me
Me as in yourself
Cause that's who your lying to
Everyone else should love ya just for doing you

You start to doubt yourself
Even when proof abides
But you just can't accept that thing
You call a lie
The truth
