7.53 Billion

Tue, 02/04/2020 - 20:41 -- Melr4

This one if for the hopeless romantics out there,

“Seven continents.

One hundred ninety-five countries.

Six thousand five hundred languages.

Four thousand two hundred religions.

But only one you.

Only one person who can make me feel the way that you do.

Happy when you’re happy,

Lost when you’re gone,

Heartbroken when you’re moved on.

And maybe someday you’ll realize,

I’m still hanging on to those last few words you said to me,

“I don’t deserve you.”

But you did.

All my broken pieces.

All your broken pieces.

Mended together as one.

When you left, they shattered.

I shattered.

I kept searching,

In hopes of something new.

But I knew all I needed was you.

7.53 billion people in this world,

But only one for me.

You.”
