2016
What a time it was to be alive
When 2016 came and flew right by
2016 came and everything seemed fine
Until upon my emotions it began to dine
It began to become dark and tore me apart
And those that I treasured dearly in my heart
First was my dog, just but a little ball of fluff
But old age caught on to him, and he went down rough
Next was my great grandmother, old as an oak
But she too fell asleep... and never awoke
2016 seemed to change everything around me
Whether it be the places I go or the people I see
Farewell 2016, you relentless piece of torture
Here's to 2017, let's make it a scorcher!
