2010 Intrinsic Revolt: I Think my Heart is Broken

[2/08/10]

I'm in search for a heart sir,

To be quite frank, I think mine's broken.

I'm in search for a heart sir,

My house I call a home seems to be forespoken.

I'm in search for a heart, one that will understand.

My hearts not looking for love, but to find my own stance.

I'm in search for a heart for closure,

My wound hasn't healed from it's puncture.

I'm in search for a heart that's in a healing state.

I'm tired of my heart being the hook, line, and sinker because of my bate.

I think my heart is broken... just hand me a Band-Aid,

My heart is this poor thing.

Sir please hand me a napkin, I think I can fix my heart,

If I keep it for maybe a while longer.

I think it will give me some more time to make critical decisions,

Simply as I ponder.

I like this one, a different spin on the pain of a broken heart in an interesting rhyming structure. Cool poem!
