2009 Sublime Naivety: A Burst of Joy

[1/13/09]

What is it? What am I feeling?

Happy, sad. Joyful, glad... No.

Honestly, maybe you're not sure.

Now you're anticipating, sitting there waiting,

But you don't know why?

You think to yourself:

Is this natural, am I feeling alright?

Now I'm sitting in the middle of class,

Doing nothing but smiling.

Because I have finally figured out what it was that I was feeling,

It was a burst of joy with my teacher smiling at me coy.

I'm sitting there with a smile I could not bare.

Taking in the bliss, I take a deep breath as I sit at my desk,

And acknowledge the fact that I am here.

That today will be one of the many great days,

I think to myself so please.
