14 and Pregnant

I was 14 and pregnant, and didn't even know

As soon as I found out, I was about to explode.

A freshman in high school, still barely a kid,

"Is she going to finish high school?" was the new bid.

I thought to myself, how could I do this?

Until I felt that first kick of bliss.

Dealing with my emotions and the constant glares,

As young as I was, who wouldn't want to stare?

Picked on, cheated on, yet I still fought hard

It was finally time to put up my guard.

I finished the school year with A's and B's

While I was pushing in a hospital bed on my hands and knees.

June 2013 my life changed forever

And at that moment, I knew it was for the better.
