“Suicidal Tendencies”

I now understand why people drink until the end of the bottle,

Or smoke a pack a day,

Or not look twice when crossing the street,

Or not count the pills they take.

We are hoping the materials will kill us,

Before we kill ourselves.

Because even though we are not trying to die,

We would not mind if we did.
