My life has had its up and its downs

I’ve been working hard in my high school years to be college bound

I’m not the smartest nor get the best grades

Its my determination to work and succeed which keeps me from being afraid

My family and peers always give me support

I sometimes may come up short

I’m always going to stay positive when times get tough

I already been through times that were rough

Excited for my future and what it holds

Prepared for difficult situations that will try and make me fold

Never forgetting the great memories

Knowing it all started with my friends and family
