Reciprocity
I am bursting
life pours forth from every crevice of my being.
I want every sensation
to touch my skin, my mouth, my heart and mind and soul;
My throat burns with the beginnings of songs
that my flesh does not know, but my spirit recites feverishly
for it remembers.
It calls me
To run through green grass meadows
and caress every blossom and bloom
To splash in crystal ponds and
crash through forest canopy
To bound down every mountain
and kiss the velvet sky
breathless
To love this earth,
the most worthy lover
I want, I want, I want
To give, to give, to give.
