My Generation Lies In Me

I wonder what what it's like to be a superhero,
They all say I'm the head honcho,
They remind me I'm the last of my line,
I realize that they have reasons I don't,
They dictate my world with their won'ts,
It's all on me to carry on the name,
So that the blood line is not left empty and slain,
I wonder what it'd be like if I were no leader,
I guess i wouldn't be here nor my father's son neither,
Because after all, there's only one way,
And if you wonder you may as well hang,
I was told to make them behind me follow,
And never take a pill I can't swallow,
I wonder what of there were another,
Would then I not be so smothered,
Cause every other man but dad and I lay dead,
The stress is too much but it's all in my head,
But at night when the angels visit me,
They say that my generation lies in me.
