Six Years Motherless

The words she's gone from the doctor
The hysterical crying, bloodshot eyes
The worst ride home
The father saying "I dontcare where you stay"
The move
The guilt setting in
The talk with him
The " I want you to move back home"
The feeling he wanted to use me
The warmth from my new house still
The days I locked my door, cried
The days I use my apperance as a shield
The days I'm angry
The days i want to hit him but don't
The days they ask me " What happened to her"
The days I break down
The days i see her for a split second
The six years made me stronger
The poems, they help me relax
The time I wrote about her, just now
The many years to come of a motherless child

This is one of my first poems I wrote after my mother past and I hope that it helps me win this scholarship.
