You're not

I'm not going to call you an angel

It's not that you don't deserve the title but angels don't sin

It's not that you aren't one but where do I begin?

I always felt that your smile could save the world

I always felt that you were the one to underline my passions and keep my focused

Sitting alone on the cusp and wondering what's next

It's not that I depended on you but I could have used some help

Now I'm stuck alone, it's November and my heater broke

Oh well

I used to think you were a goddess

I used to think you were the one to give me grounding

I wanted to learn another tongue to speak to your family

I never understood how you were so young and acted so aged

Like a fine wine

Refined

But as it turned out

You were a Red

I'm a white wine kind of guy

We were never meant to work in the beginning

But I suppose that's alright

I used to think you were the one, but...

Me
