Your Words are Robbery

Bite your lips; your words are robbery.

You try to destroy anyone with a basilisk’s glare.

Do you grin inside? You’re killing me.

Your vastest lie is flattery,

The empty, tussled bed shows you never care.

Bite your lips; your words are robbery.

Your emotions are a blank-paged mystery,

Hurtling away from my life, it’s unfair.

Do you grin inside? You’re killing me.

Kindness to you is complimentary,

You wouldn’t return it if you dare.

Bite your lips; your words are robbery.

You’ve run me down like a battery,

Yet recharging me has become rare.

Do you grin inside? You’re killing me.

Smiles never shared on the private side of tapestry,

Your musky scent, your touch—captures the air.

Bite your lips; your words are robbery,

Do you grin inside? You’re killing me.
