For your Sake

You should know what makes me selfish,

Why am I angry and reclusive?

The emotions that I fish,

I should be the only one exclusive,

I'm a greedy troll,

One that doesn't live under the bridge,

Always looking to control,

Never happy even a smidge,

I want and I take,

I see and I break,

Unable to handle the smile you fake,

Always trying for my sake,

Sometimes I wish I could vanish,

But I know you would find me,

You were always kind of mannish,

Making the usual tea,

You would scold me,

But no matter the trouble,

You're my son,

My right arm,

You hold us up,

So never give us harm,

Be the tea that fills the cup,

So here I am.
