In a relationship, it's not just about you

It's not just about me

It's we

Balance if you may, but that's not what I feel when you say

Come here sit by me let's do it my way

Always you you you what about what I want to do 

It's not fair when you show you don't care

I know you love me but show me a little more 

Right now my heart is heavy and sore

My words and my actions all line up 

Your words are sweet and filled with compassion

But why do your actions seem to lead the other way

My mother saw everything I did for you from the cooking to the gift giving 

You didn't do enough giving for me but now that were apart I finally see

The poem you wrote was sweet and true to me but your actions were never complete

I wish I would have had some sunflowers from you as you whisper in my ears

A healthy and happy relationship like planting a garden or tending to a child

There needs to be maintance, love, dedication, loyalty, compassion 

Not dishonesty or  unfairness

A healthy relationship can only grow when it has been nourished with nutrients it needs

To grow and take down highs and lows

A touch of love should say I'm here for you and I'm yours

A word of love should reflect comfort and satsfication

When you love me I will love you

Love is what we share not what take and never give back in return

Love should burn in flames of passion and sensation

Love should have a clear correlation

What you do for me 

I do for you

Because I love you should npt just be what you say but what you do

It's because you feel the love with me and want to

Healthy relationships of love build not destroy

Help tend to those they employ

A healthy relationship of love to me is God and my family

They never let me down

When I'm confused or lost they turn me around

The Lord is my protector and guidance

Whom shall I fear

He is always near and dear to my heart

My family have been there for me from the start

I never feel like with them I will ever drift apart

Past boyfriends and girlfriends  come and go 

But it's about who you know and when the best kind of love will show

A healthy relationship should be like open air

Things he says or she says should go and flow 

But the air should never be filled with hatred but with compassion and grace
