I was stuck between the two

On the outside I had my loyalties to one

Inside I burned with curiosity

For the other

The world rushed passed my ears

The colors mixed

I could not walk

I could not talk

I could only watch and feel

The tug of the two men on either side

I wanted both

I wanted neither

I was in ones house

I was in the others apartment

I was in ones bed

I was on the others couch

In this paint smudged world

I felt more then saw a third

He burned

Into my imagination

A feeling dug into my stomach

Wrapped its hands around my gut

And heart

And pulled

I could not go with the pull

Only fight the tears for having to stay

I could not step into the future

Only descend into my cave for hibernation

I had seen

Ahead was a force

I could not control

Yet could wrap around my finger
