You Don't

You know what's funny?

The way you seem to think that all is right in the world.

That everything is working out great for you.

But you cannot seem to fathom the destruction,

put onto others, brought on by you.

You don't see the broken bridge between us.

You don't see a bridge built at all.

You don't...

You know what's funny?

The way you think you can come back.

That you never hurt anyone, not even me.

But you did and can't even see that.

You don't hear what I'm saying.

You don't take responsibility for your actions.

You don't...

You know what isn't funny?

The way I become when you're around,

That silence that takes over and never leaves.

The resentment that boils in my blood.

The hurt that I've felt for the past ten years.

The annoyance when your voice is heard.

The anger that fills me when you reach out to me.

Why do I feel this way?

Why do I have to feel this way...

It's like you will never see the hurt in my eyes.

Understand the pain in my heart put there by you.

You do not know who I am,

So why should you get to know who I become?

Why should I let you back into my life after all this time?

Why should I be the one to apologise when you're the one at fault.

Someone who can't even take in his own wrong-doings.

This time in my life is about finding myself, becoming myself.

There is no time for someone or something that brings me down.

I'm moving on with my life, with or without you.

I will not act like nothing was ever wrong.

I will not act like everything is great between us.

I'm not going to lie to myself...

So when are you?
