Yellow Dress

Her smile glowed as she passed by with that yellow dress of hers. The ruffles that flowed down her body so sweet it captured the eyes of few but the hearts of many. She was a dancer. Ballet had been her life. She runs by you and leaps to her final fate. As polio became the gravity to haul her dreams through the earth. Yet her pain and sorrow never sat in. She still smiled. She still wears that yellow dress. Now she catches eyes than hearts but her heart never stopped believing. As she continued to hope that maybe one day she'll dance again. But for now she will love forward.
