It is plastered upon faces

Determines choices that need to be made

Feelings may be hurt

Connections between families can be saved

In society it is unwanted

Because it brings to life our youth

With a bold declaration

Emotion will manifest the truth

Love gives us strength to fight

Forgiveness helps us become whole

Sadness gives our eyes new sight

Happiness brings light into our souls

It is part of human nature

To feel things worth feeling

Without emotions bursting inside our hearts

We are not truly living
