I wasn't prepared.

I guess I was blissfully

unaware

of everything you never said.

"Mommy, I don't want to live",

the shot to my chest,

and then the awful words

upon that little IPod screen.

My heart dropped from my chest,

like a freefall from above the clouds.

My baby girl,

her pain,

her words,

those hateful girls,

their torturous texts....

my heart!!!

Tears burn violently,

tracing the curves of my cheeks,

running into a river of devastation.

I won't stand for this!

The very existence of my joy

is at great stake.

"You don't deserve any of this,

no matter what!",

I tell her as her eyes sting,

crimson red.

You're much more,

so much more,

than even any kind word

could express.

Mommy's here....
