The Wolf

You don't comprehend.

 ∴

My thoughts, my dreams

And even my nightmares

Run and case after me

When the music is over.

When the party ends

And everyone goes home.

 ∴

My soul frantically bends,

And I see a wolf, alone.

A hungry predator, a beast,

Looking for its feast.

But I am flesh and bone,

I cannot hold it back.

 ∴

Finally it fiercely attacks,

Slamming into my back,

Throwing me to the side,

But I cannot hide.

You don't comprehend

And neither do I.

 ∴

The wolf is in me,

In my skull, behind my eye.
