In The Winter, As Everything Dies.

In the winter, as everything dies,

A child is born.

In the winter, as everything ceases,

A child grows.

In the winter, as everything changes,

His challenges stay the same.

A mother bolts like the fall and leaves him cold like the breathe of frost.

He is alone.

A father dies like the warmth of days gone by,

Taking with him, every hope the boy has.

But, he knows the spring will come soon.
