Why Can't I be Pretty Mama

Location

Why can’t I be pretty mama?

Like the girls on magazines

Why can’t I be pretty mama?

The prettiest girl ever seen

Why can’t I be pretty mama?

And I catch a boy’s eye

Why can’t I be pretty mama?

And look gorgeous when I cry

Why can’t I be pretty mama?

And have a nice shape

Why can’t I be pretty mama?

So boys can take me on a date

Why can’t I be pretty mama?

And won’t mind going out in public

Why can’t I be pretty mama?

So I can see my reflection and love it

Why can’t I be pretty mama?

With make-up and long-hair

Why can’t I be pretty mama?

It just isn’t fair…..

And mama says…..

You are pretty baby

But you are still young

Your personality is first

And you’re looks are just for fun

You are pretty baby

Even when you cry

And when boys see you

You put the gleam in their eye

You are pretty baby

You don’t need a perfect size

If someone tells you different

Then those are just lies

You are pretty baby

I’ll show you to the world

I’ll let them all know

You have something special girl

From your eyes to your smile

Body, hair, and nail cuticle

My baby you’re not pretty

But my baby, you’re beautiful.
