Where were you?

To you he was just another fuck up,

Blame it on the drugs,   Yeah, his life was rough,  And maybe it's the only escape he had,  Because daddy wasn't around  And mommy didn't care,  And neither did anyone else,   Or so he thought,   He's the guy you thought about talking to,  But you turned away,  And you regret it to this day,  As much as you hate to admit it,   You had more in common with him,   Because yes, you both struggled,   Because you thought no one LOVED you,  Like this world was after you,  You were meant to crash and burn,   And everyday you struggle to breath some pure air,   Because all that fills the empty space are lies and bullshit,   Like if the stabbing of a knife didn't hurt enough,  The shallow regret of similarity resets in your hands,  Him and you could've proved this world wrong,   But..instead...   The only time solitude didn't find him is when the high did,  All he ever wanted to do was put some solidity to his name,   Yet, he couldn't  handle that,  Because he had no support  Where were you?
