What's The Difference?

How were we so different from the white man?
With copper or white skin.
We are all the same on the inside,
With a heart, bone, and shin.

We all have the same parents,
Mother Earth and Father Sky.
We were all born with the same spirit,
And that spirit gave us the reason why.

We are all brothers and sisters,
To each living thing.
But war has lead to spilled blood and murder,
To separate all that is living.

We were all a nation,
Proud and tall.
But fighting and suffering,
Had departed us all.

It’s true we are all different on the outside,
But the inside we are all the same.
We all see color,
We all bleed red,
We all have life that our spirits lead.
