We Are The Colored

We are not less than

We are your equals

We are not your captives

We are not your vassals

We are not repositories for your hard labor

We aren’t to be simply tolerated

We are not giving up

We are not holding back

We will not sit down

Until our fight is won.

We are your co-evals

We should not be treated as fecals

Simply stomped upon or thrown aside

We will not be subservient to your authoritative measures

We are perspicacious, discerning, sagacious, clever, and bright beings.

Although, generations after generations,

You have proved to be tricksters with your astute characteristics

But now, time for that has been interrupted.

We have surpassed you by level of cognizance,

WOKE-ness and fearlessness of your tyrannical dominance.

Standing up for ourselves isn’t the problem

Distinguishingly leveling the genial kinds amongst you is.

Be patient, but alert, because we are coming.

Not at all in an affable manner

We have a bone to pick with you and there is no other way to do so other than our own.

Don’t know who we are?

WE ARE THE COLORED.
