The Way You Make Me Feel

You make me feel like my eyes are something worth staring back in to

You make me feel like my lips are worth trying to tear apart just to hear my thoughts

You make me feel like tripping over my pride, tumbling over my anxiety, and flipping into my insecurities

You make me like opening up to you

And not like a screen door on a windy day, but like a locked door kicked in head first

U make me feel like our first born child's name will be Elliot

No matter boy or girl because you really want their name to be Elliot

And I agree because I'm scared of what'll happen to me if I disagree

You make me feel like God woke me up this morning to remind me don't let this one slip away

You make me feel like sneaking out just to say hey in person, is us running off together

You make me feel like being corny is my best go-to move

You make me feel like I have the only key to your heart

And a spare for the days I'm clumsy

You make me feel that on our wedding day I'll have to make a bet with your father to see which one of us cries first

You make me feel like I'm gonna lose that bet the second you walk down the aisle

You make me feel like that if I didn't believe in God, you could convince me by your presence

You make me feel like interviewing your mother and asking how

Repeatedly...

You make me feel like trying a backflip

Banging my head to the ground

And when I wake and they ask what made me you so head over heels boy

I'll say you

I'll think what I did was cool later but in reality, I mumbled your name because of a mild concussion

You make me feel like trying to cook an unburnt meal for once

You make me feel like if Cupid was real

I 'll get high off his arrows and overdose on his bow

You make me feel like thinking of something romantic to say in the next line

You make me feel like "soul mate" is an understatement

You make me feel like blushing faster than a chameleon can mimic green

You make me feel like my pillowcases only hold smiles

My bed sheets only holds prayers thanking God for you

My closet only holding clothes I want you to model

My mirror only holding the only other person as in love as me

You make me feel like I could say this all to you in person

You make me feel that love isn't dead

That death is something we can have in common

You make me feel that love has an i and u in it

You make me feel like taking grammar lessons

You make me feel dangerous

Like going 46 in a 45

Walking under a ladder

Or leaving my  ringer on low in the theatre

That a single conversation with you is a blessing

And that your smile is all the physical attention I need to get through the day
