Walk on Water

If I could walk on water,

I'd walk to you.

If I could swim in the clouds,

I'd swim somewhere new.

I'd do what ever it takes to see your face light up to red, from blue.

If I could change the way the earth balanced on God's fingertips, I would.

(Not that I should).

I can see the colors in your eyes;

but theyr'e fading.

And my arms are getting tired of wading.

The tide, it gets stronger.

But I know I only have to wait a little longer.

Retreat!

Retreat, my children!

Get on your feet!

Take the guns and hold your tongues.

This is nothing you can defeat.

The skies fade from blue to black.

That color in her eyes will never come back.

As the sand blows blood in a band of blades,

don't forget all those lives you've saved.
