Valentine

My biggest refusal was to be “that couple”

When you first said “I love you” I critiqued it was cheesy.

After that day, you were “nothing but trouble”.

But turning my head, you didn’t make it easy.

You’d find any excuse to see me.

Any excuse to talk.

With me you’d do anything carefree.

Even in public, you’d walk.

Stores aisles, we’ll slow dance.

Rooftops, we’ll lay.

I’m surprised you gave me a chance.

Ima hopeless romantic today.

Without you I’d be a secretive sore.

Just wanted to say, I love you more.
