Unwanted Fear

Location

There’s that little girl sitting in the pain
Living on broken promises, being burned with a flame
She tries to holler but no one cares
Just a girl with an imagination that she shares
The truth comes as a joke to those who can’t see
They shake it off their backs and decide to let her be
Every night, she is full of unwanted fear
Every second, she is afraid that her monster is coming near
The light becomes dim and she begins to ask god why?
But as the night struck, all you could hear was a little girl cry
As the morning comes another piece of her is taken
And as a routine, she asks god why she has awaken
She asks, “Why does it happen to me?”
But not one answer comes… because no one sees
As she grows up life is harder to bear
“What do I have to live for in a life where no one cares?”
Soon her wrist is only a bad reminder
That no matter where she goes, he’ll always find her
Soon she will have had enough
Maybe her next day won’t be as rough
No one cared or offered to help her get away
That’s why every night, she feels the pain that always stayed
All it took was a small piece of lead
And she was sound asleep for eternity… Forever on her bed.
