Undocumented and Unafraid

There are immigrants on the streets being taken away by higher forces with badges placed tight

There are undocumented in this coutry fighting for their human rights

There are protests around every corner looking for a change

Because the 2016 presidential election was full of hate in its campaign

Undocumented and Unafraid, that is the slogan of the year

It is the slogan that came from seeing parents and loved ones shed silent tears

This is the moment to team up more than ever before

And I have now joined the cause, because my family too needs to see an open door

I have come out of my shell for the sake of others and names on a detention centers' lists

Becuase white privilage, racism and discrimination do exist

I have opened my eyes to see those working hard for a better future in this foreign culture

To lending a hand to those working in factories, in flower shops, and agriculture

To those different in language, skin, and face

Becuase there is only one race, the human race

Our world
