Under the Same Sky

Once upon a time, there was a young girl of a foreign land,

Her parents had taken her feet off the sand,

Then thousands and thousands of miles away,

She soon was to learn where she was to say,

Many will tell you it's all in the eyes,

Out in the open just trying to hide,

No wonder she felt like she didn't belong,

No matter how much she attempted to try,

She wanted to cry,

I told her no,

Look to the sky,

And I'll never let go,

She always just had on the prettiest smile,

When I thought I should leave,

She said stay for awhile,

Never in a million years could I have ever dreamed,

That she would show me everything may not be what it seems.
