Pain in my feet is gettin' worse,

Knees, white chicken flour. Mine.

Nappy, natural, Nia again.

Fallen, yet we do not know it.

Where is the Nguzo Saba?

Morals, ethics, Christ died for this?

Guns and drugs and rapists. What for?

Rocket men with dreams that sink fast.

Ernie Barnes would be shamed to paint

Common sense ain't common no more.

Restin' our bones. Losing our soul.

Roots are severed, trees die off.

Collective work, where have you gone?

Sittin', waitin', "Answers will come."

Please forgive me cause my need

Always shapes a human creed.
