Two Cultures,One Heart

Two cultures live within me

They work side by side

Friendly yet fiercely when they want my attention

She dominates proudly

When I sing and dance

To Cumbia music

Putting flavor to my life

And her traditional foods with exotic spices

He slowly waits to empower

Like a lion with its prey

I live in his territory

Mingle with his people

And follow his rules

It would only be time

When I trade her for him

But my blood lives for my Latin

culture and language

No matter where I

Live or who I interact with

Because my culture

Forever live in my Heart
