Twist of fate

I wander through my own mind looking for a sign

with the utmost desire to let myself run free

my feelings and emotions flow like I just finished reading The Great Gatsby

I have so much to say,

yet no words leave my lips

I try confessing my love,

but I'm like a mime with a script

I decide to write her a song

Cause I can't seem to find my speech

I make sure it's heartfelt and long

with hopes to sweep her off her feet

She reads, then gives it back, along with a bitter rejection

I then know, I am lost, and lack all forms of direction

It goes to show, I try and try, never succeeding,

I wipe under my eyes, all the tears I've been bleeding

I'm a hopeless romantic, you've read as of late..

Or maybe just another intent, on twisting his fate.
