Together

Lonely hands sway with long, steady steps.

A rehearsed smile is flashed.

Eyes clouded and blurred.

One may see, yet be blind.

One may talk, but never be heard.

One may feel, but never have felt.

Things can change so quickly.

A person will come along.

Fake smiles.

Lonely hands.

Cloudy eyes.

You are not alone.

Together you have words shared and heard.

Together you have smiles escaping like birds finally freed from cages.

Together you have eyes that can finally see; see the positivity and the light.

No more darkness. No more dull.

You are each other's light.

Each other's smiles.

Each other's eyes.

Each other's voice.

Days are no longer lonely.

You do not take.

You are given.

You are equal.

You are one.
